Privacy Policy — Reaction Engine

Last updated: August 15, 2025

Reaction Engine ("we," "us," "our") is a tool that allows authorized users to look up public engagement metrics (e.g., like counts) on Instagram Business/Creator accounts. We respect your privacy and handle data in accordance with applicable laws and Meta's platform terms.

1) Who we are

Controller: RQMediaGroup

Address: 1020 N Sycamore Ave Los Angeles CA 90038

Contact: admin@rqagency.com

2) What we do

Reaction Engine lets you (an authorized user) query public metrics for Instagram Business/Creator accounts (e.g., like_count, comments_count, permalink, media_id, username) via the Instagram Graph API. We do not access private personal accounts and do not read direct messages.

3) Data we collect

A. From Instagram / Meta (via APIs)

Public Business/Creator media metadata: media_id, permalink, like_count, comments_count, timestamp, caption (if returned), username (Business/Creator). Connected account identifiers: Instagram Business Account ID, linked Facebook Page ID.

B. From you

Authentication/authorization artifacts required by Meta (e.g., access tokens), your account email/name, and any queries you run in the tool.

C. From our service

Basic logs for security and operations (IP address, user agent, timestamps, request IDs, error logs). We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories and we do not use face recognition or biometric data.

4) How we use data

  • Provide and operate the service (fetching and displaying public metrics).
  • Maintain security, debug issues, prevent abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and Meta/Instagram platform rules.
  • Improve product performance in aggregate (non-identifying analytics).

No selling of personal data. We do not sell or rent your data. We do not use collected Instagram data to build individual profiles unrelated to your use case.

5) Legal bases (EEA/UK)

  • Contractual necessity: to provide the service you requested.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the service.
  • Consent: where required (e.g., optional communications).

6) Sharing & disclosure

We may share data with sub‑processors providing infrastructure or logging/monitoring (e.g., hosting, error tracking), bound by confidentiality and data protection terms; and with authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety. We do not share Instagram data with unrelated third parties for advertising.

7) Data retention

  • Access tokens: stored securely and rotated; removed when expired or when you disconnect.
  • Query results/metrics: stored only as needed to provide the feature (optionally cached briefly), then deleted or anonymized.
  • Logs: retained for up to 90 days unless needed for security/legal reasons.

You may request earlier deletion (see Section 11).

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (HTTPS/TLS, restricted access, least‑privilege, encrypted secrets storage). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we aim to follow industry best practices.

9) Children

Reaction Engine is not directed to children under 13 (or other local minimum age). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10) Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or port data. To exercise rights, contact admin@rqagency.com. We may verify your identity before responding.

11) Data deletion & disconnection

Disconnect via Meta/Instagram:

You can revoke our app's access in your Facebook/Instagram settings at any time; this invalidates tokens immediately.

Request deletion:

Email admin@rqagency.com with subject "Data Deletion Request – Reaction Engine" from the email tied to your account. We will delete associated personal data (and any cached Instagram results) within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for security.

12) International transfers

We may process data in countries outside your own. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

13) Platform compliance

We access and use Instagram data only as permitted by Meta's Platform Terms and Instagram policies, and only for the purpose you authorize (retrieving public metrics for Business/Creator media you query). We do not combine Instagram data with other datasets to build profiles unrelated to your request.

14) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product, legal, or regulatory changes. Updates will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified where required.
